Welcome, Anglians, to the first blog post of the year... it's been a while I know, but I have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you more fantastic model kits as well as an improved model finder!

Thunder Model's range includes a huge amount of British (especially) LRDG vehicles, like this Ford F8 Pilot Car, due for release in early June!

Since the last time I told you about the new brands we stock, we've added the following smallish ranges - mostly to do with armoured fighting vehicles of both the tracked and wheeled sort! There's some superb little brands out there, from Thunder Model to Rye Field to Gecko, so have a look at what the following new ranges on the site now:

Gecko's range has some superb British armoured cars and trucks, as well as a growing set of Vietnam figures and vehicles

As well as that, I've added the ever-brilliant Airfix range, the up and coming IBG Models AFVs and aircraft and the superb Zoukei-Mura aircraft to the site: and I'm currently in the process of adding Hasegawa, too.

There's lots of armour to choose from in Rye Field Model's range, from British Shermans to T-55s to King Tigers - with loads of accessories and upgrade kits, as well as interiors, too!

Once they're on, I'll be bringing you Academy, Aoshima, Kotare, Rubicon and much more - as well as more hobby ranges than you can shake a stick at!

Das Werk's reputation in the modelling world is second to none. Have a look at their superb German vehicles to remove any doubt!

Model Finding

The model finder has been undergoing teething problems for a while, and it took a long time to work out what was going on; simply put, shopify's drop down menus cannot work with more than 100 individual data values, so what I've had to do is condense the amount of different services from around 400 to less than 100. I've done this by concentrating on the main countries and their services; for example, the United States have four branches - air force, navy, marine corps and army - and some are condensed to simply "other African armed forces" or "civilian" and so on and so forth.

Border Model's range include some amazing armoured vehicles as well as 1/35 scale aircraft!

Even so, that's only on the top of the page dropdown menus; once you get past that, you'll find all the different services on the left, as before.

Needless to say, I've had to add / change a lot of data to facilitate this, and it's just... taken a while! Everything's pretty much there now though, there may be a few stragglers but I'll take care of those over the next few weeks.

The Poles of IBG Models are quietly producing some of the most amazing kits on the market, from aircraft to trucks to tanks!

I'll be making blog posts much more often from now on, now that the model finder is pretty much done, so watch out for news on new releases for all the ranges when they occur - and in the case of some ranges, every month!
