This included increasing power through features such as a dry-sump lubrication system, and completely redesigning the suspension arms .\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \n\n\u003cp\u003eThe Celica 1600GT made its racing debut in November 1971\u003cbr\u003e\nat the Japan All-Star Race held at Fuji Speedway.\u003cbr\u003e\nIt made a spectacular debut, dominating the TS-b class with three entries, securing first, second, and third place.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe Celica's winning streak continued into 1972,\u003cbr\u003e\nwith a victory in the Touring Car class at the All Japan Suzuka Motor Race in March.
