This boxed set contains:
- 1 x Type 021 Huangfeng-class 1/72 scale missile patrol boat

Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy
The Wasp-class (Type 021) missile boat was transferred by the Soviet Union in 1959. It was equipped with four Upstream-1 missiles and was a relatively advanced equipment at the time. The first ship was manufactured by Shanghai Hudong Shipyard, launched in 1963, and commissioned at the end of December 1965. In 1970, this type of boat was fully localized, and Xijiang Shipyard also built the first boat in 1971. During the localization process, our technical personnel also made a lot of improvements to this type of boat, mainly including: developing a steel mast that can be lowered, changing the missile loading rack to a short rack, changing the manual anchoring and dropping to automatic anchoring and dropping with a chain barrel, and installing an air conditioning system on the boats used in the south, adding radio stations, reconnaissance radars, confidentiality machines and other equipment. In 1975, this type of boat was finalized and began large-scale production to equip the troops, with a total of more than 98 boats produced.
