MiG-19pm is ea further modified version if the MiG-19PM series of aircraft. Based on the MiG-19S, radar and other equipment were added to enable the fighter, with its main attack missiles, to execute day & night flying missions in poor weather conditions. The maiden flight of the prototype MiG-19PM was in January 1956. In 1957, formal production started with the total number produced in the former Soviet union reaching about 400. NATO nicknamed this fighter ”Farmer-E”.
