Gross weight 6.8tonnes born from research on lightweight fighter jets,
We proposed a small machine with a total width of less than 8.4m.
This bold design proposal was approved and a contract was signed,
The first prototype (XA-4A) that flew for the first time on June 22, 1954, was
A thorough weight reduction has been made,
The main wings are integrated on the left and right sides, and the fuselage is simplified and the fuselage is attached to it.
It was an aircraft designed with ease of maintenance in mind.
Until the handover of the final mass-produced aircraft ended in February 1979,

The A-4E is an improved type of A-4C that replaced the engine from J65 to J52-P-6,

The A-4F is the last type for the U.S. Navy.
Power up the engine to the J52-P-8A and house electronics
A hump fairing has been added to the back of the fuselage.
The A-4F is also part of the U.S. Navy's acrobatic team ‘Blue Angels‘.
Used between 1974 and 1986, it attracted spectators with its dynamic flight.
