The Rosomak APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) is a modern eight-wheeled armored vehicle used by the Polish Armed Forces. It is based on the Finnish Patria AMV platform and is manufactured in Poland by Rosomak S.A.. Introduced into service in 2004, the Rosomak has become one of the key components of Poland’s land forces.
The vehicle offers excellent mobility on roads as well as in challenging off-road environments. Its advanced armor provides protection against small-arms fire and shrapnel, enhancing crew and troop survivability. Depending on the variant, the Rosomak can be equipped with different weapon systems, including a 30 mm automatic cannon, machine guns, or specialized reconnaissance equipment.
The Rosomak has been deployed in international missions, notably in Afghanistan, where it demonstrated its effectiveness and reliability in combat conditions. Over the years, numerous variants have been developed for infantry transport, command and control, medical evacuation, and reconnaissance roles. Continuous upgrades ensure that the Rosomak remains one of the most advanced armored personnel carriers in Europe.
