Il 2 was designed shortly before World War II. It was outstandingly durable, yet at the same time cheap and easy to manufacture. With almost impenetrable armor and powerful armament, the plane made great impression on German troops ' it was nicknamed Butcher Iron Gustav and Black death. However, the plane did have weak spots. Coupled with lack of experienced pilots, this lead to severe losses of them during early stages of World War II. Nevertheless, IL 2 was a successful plane and quite popular among pilots. By the later stages of the war, the plane's construction was improved. Il 2 remained in service until the end of the war. Contents: 1 unpainted airplane 1 plain stand - 1 unit card 1 decal
