This boxed set contains:
- 1 x KTO Rosomak Medevac 1/72 scale armoured personnel carrier
Polish Ground Forces
KTO Rosomak is a Polish wheeled armored transporter in the 8×8 system, developed on the basis of the Finnish design of Patria AMV and produced by Rosomak S.A. The vehicle is characterized by high mobility, swimming and modular construction, which allows you to create many specialized variants adapted to various tasks on the modern battlefield. Rosomak reaches speeds of more than 100 km/h, and its operational range is up to about 800 km, making it a versatile platform for the armed forces.
One of the key variants is the medical version (MEDEVAC, in Poland known as Rosomak-WEM), designed to evacuate the wounded directly from the battlefield. This vehicle is equipped with specialized medical equipment enabling first aid and maintenance of vital functions of the injured during transport. It can carry up to three injured on stretchers and additional patients in a sitting position, and its crew consists of a driver, commander and medical staff.
The MEDEVAC version is designed to provide maximum ergonomics for paramedics – the elevated medical compartment allows you to work in a standing position, and the automatic loading system of the stretcher accelerates the evacuation of the injured. Additional equipment includes m.in. observation systems, air conditioning and heating, and means of communication and navigation. Thanks to the armor and mobility, Rosomak MEDEVAC can operate in danger zones, significantly increasing the chances of survival of wounded soldiers.
