USS Alaska, belongs to US navy Alaska class Battle cruiser first ship, service in June 17, 1944, total length :246.43 m, displacement :34253 tons, 150000 horsepower, maximum speed :32 knots.At a speed of 15 knots, its range is 12000 nautical miles.After the completion of the Alaska class battle cruiser mainly along with Mitchell's fleet aircraft carriers, as the cruiser squadron flagship, and provide protection for aircraft carrier.At the end of Japanese naval and air forces near destruction, participated in the bombardment fleet bombarded Japanese native.After the Japanese surrender, USS Alaska joined the seventh fleet, on February 17, 1947,USS Alaska from active duty, at the end of the 50's demolition.
