Tiger II Ausf. B Königstiger (late)
German Army

The Tiger II, developed in 1943, unofficially also referred to as the King Tiger, was mass-produced by Henschel from 1944 onwards. The King Tiger combined the demands for armor protection and firepower in an outstanding way. The frontal armor of up to 150 mm thick could not be penetrated by any projectiles from the on-board cannons of enemy battle tanks. The hull sides were armoured up to 80 mm thick. Despite several massive bombing raids by the Allies on the Henschel plant in Kassel, a total of 492 Tiger IIs were delivered to the troops - including the prototypes and 50 vehicles equipped with a Porsche turret. However, not all of them reached the front units. A large number of the Tiger IIs were lost due to propulsion problems resulting from the high total weight or simply due to a lack of fuel.

New tool shape with fine surface details
Rotatable turret with height-straightening gun
Injection molded chain
Turret hatches optionally open to show
Zimmerit (anti-mine coating) not included

Black PzDepartment 503 Hungary/Eastern Front, Oct. 1944
