United States Navy

The nuclear-powered Enterprise is the first aircraft carrier of its kind and is one of the largest ship objects ever built. On 25.11.1961 this gigantic aircraft carrier was put into service. Eight water-cooled reactors generate a total output of 300,000 hp, with which the ship reaches an average speed of 35 knots. The water displacement is 75,700 tons and the flight deck has a width of 76.8 meters. An average of 414 officers and 4,260 crew members are on board. Since the Enterprise is independent of external supplies due to its nuclear propulsion, large fuel depots are available for the on-board aircraft. The largest and most modern aircraft of the U.S. Navy can be used from the Enterprise.
