The deeply upgraded C-130J is the most advanced version of the C-130 military transport aircraft in service in the US and many other countries today. Among other improvements, it uses a full aileron remote control system, and four RR AE 2100D3 turboprops, more powerful than previous modifications, and six bladed composite scimitar propellers allow the aircraft to achieve a takeoff range of 1,433 m at a normal takeoff weight of 70,305 kg. Construction of the first C-130J began in March 1994 and it made its first flight on April 5, 1996. Currently, the C-130J remains the only model of this series in production. By March 2022, 500 C-130J had been delivered to 22 countries.
