The SH-3H Sea King helicopter is the primary U.S. Navy anti-submarine rotor aircraft and replaced the aging HSS-1 helicopters. Designed for shipboard operations. it 1S a large twin engined helicopter using a five blade main rotor that can fold back along is fuselage spine, while its rear fuselage section and tail rotor can fold forward for stowage.
The Sea King's fuselage is monocoque water tight assembly, shaped like a ships hull for sea Operations. Its two float shaped outrigger pontoons provide water stability, allowing the SH-3H to take off, land and perform operations from the sea.
