British Royal Navy

HMS Harvester was a British H-class destroyer. Originally ordered by Brazilian Navy in the 1930s, but bought by the Royal Navy after the outbreak of World War II in September 1939. Her first assignment was to join the evacuation of Allied troops from Dunkirk in May 1940. After that Harvester was moved to convoy escort duties at the Western Approaches, then transferred to the Newfoundland Escort force in the North Atlantic in June 1941 and finally returned to Western Approaches in October of the same year. In early 1942 Harvester was converted to an escort destroyer. In March 1943 she was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine.
